Default Where to take my S2K?

Hello Everyone,

I live in the Baltimore area and it is time for my '03 S2K
to get her "big" factory recommended maintenance done. Things
such as checking and adjusting the valve clearances, change the
plugs and cables, etc., etc., and fix the stalling at idle
issue that has cropped up in the last couple of months.

I really don't want to go to a dealer to do this, so I'd like
to know of a good tuner shop or independent, S2K loving, mechanic
in the Baltimore area. You know, someone who appreciates these
cars and will do everything properly.

Anyone have any suggestions???

Thanks for any info!!!

I haven't been to this guy yet, but George (gfacter) recommends him, and whenever I have the need, this is the guy I'll be calling: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/820...t__p__19571106

You can bring your car to me if you'd like I'm in Waldorf. But what's the conditions of it stalling? Does it do it all the time? Does it have a CEL on?

The CEL is not lit. The car is fine for the first ten minutes or so after starting
up, but the first stoplight after that the revs drop and it stalls. This will happen
in gear or neutral while stopped.

Although probably pricy. Agile auto in Bel Air is great. I give any work I don't want to tackle on my own to them. Good guys.

Grab some throttle plate cleaner and a tooth brush and clean your throttle plate. Good possibility that it would take care of the stalling and if not, well, it only cost about $5.

I can help you out with whatever you need. Although browsing the DIY sections is a good money saver as well. I just fixed the same stalling issue on a MY01 and on my personal MY02, AP1 woes :*(
