You need the newest part. There was a post by Woodwork (our resident Honda rep) about July '03, where he stated that they had finally found out the actual problem, and fixed it. See http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...threadid=134990

They have an updated bulletin 01-008 last revision April 29, 2003. The new part # is listed on this TSB and is: 72250-S2A-A03
The cars built after (03 model year): JHMAP114*3T002606 already have the new regulator.

Thanks Jonas for looking that up - I read that post and noted the part change on my previously printed bulletin. THAT is what I was going to TELL the guy on the phone but he never allowed me to help him with this information. And if I do go over there and allowed them to run the diagnostic test - - I'm not going to argue with him about it being an A03 instead of A01 as the bulletin states because he's not going to listen. I trust you guys as S2000 owners and the threads that have been posted about our problems, issues and solutions more than these service people.

If I were brave I'd try to install it myself, the picture on this bulletin is pretty self explanatory.... but I think I'd have a problem "torquing the motor mounting bolts to 8 N.m"......... I might be able to change my wiper blades and change a tire but I think I'll leave the 'torquing' to someone else. And just hope these service guys do it right the first time and I don't have to take it back again like SweetJ did.

Beth!

Is my problem the same as yours? When I go to put the top down, the driver's side window starts to go down but then stops. The passenger side goes completely down. Also the one-touch down mode does not work. I have to hold the button down. This only started after getting hit on that side, but wasn't evident immediately afterwards. That is why I'm asking.

Most dealerships were making a mistake thinking it was the window switch causing the problem until it was figured out the regulators were at fault hence the replacement part number update.
