Default WTB: OEM OIL FILTER

Hello all,

I haven't been in here in a long time. Hope everyone's doing well.

I'm trying to do an oil change this weekend and wanted to know if anyone here has a spare filter I can buy.

Please PM me and let me know.

Thanks and happy holidays~

Tae

The dealers usually have them in stock.

I also recommend that you go up to the dealership and just purchase a couple from the parts department. They usually will give you a new crush washer (for free) to use on your oil pan bolt, too. If not, be sure to ask for one.

Make sure they give you the filter with the right part number. Some dealers will just give you the normal civic filter since technically it "fits". (college park honda)

I agree with you on CP Honda. Every time I order a S2000 filter, I get the Civic/Accord filter. I have had multiple conversations that have bordered on arguments with them over this exact topic. I have been told that "this is the only filter that Honda makes, it fits everything" & "this is the filter that they have put on every S2000 that has ever come through their doors". Now I just call & order it by part number. If anyone wants to get one from CP Honda, call the parts department & ask for Les. Tell him that Darren from Pony Express pointed you towards him. Ask for the S2000 PCX filter, he will know exactly what you need. They most likely will have to order it, so give them at least a day lead time.

Also, going to the Honda eStore has you paying full list on these filters. I believe that my commercial cost on them is right around $10.00. But I have been dealing with them for years & buy all my Honda/Acura & Hyundai parts from them. If you have the time, don't be afraid to shop around. If you need it tomorrow, call Les.

Remember, just because the filter fits, doesn't mean that it is the correct one.

Happy Holidays - arbez
