no overheating at all. but i was running lean. i changed them to be safe + use their capacity if i wanted to increase the boost in the future. im currently running 6.7psi

do you mean when you insert the car key and before starting the car? yes it does make a sound. but not while driving the car.
ofcourse you will never hear that sound after starting the engine due to the monster screaming from your 70RR exhaust
