I was driving without a front plate since summer 2003 and got my first ticket for 150 or 200DHS this winter. As long as you keep it under the front windshield and have a good excuse handy, it's not such a crime.

paul dont listen to Jakub ... he hardly drives his car! You drive your car daily and cops in ADH dont speak English... better stick to it or else you will be left with plates only and car will be with the cops.

He asked if anyone has removed/relocated theirs and what is the penalty for doing so,not if it is a good idea to run without it
Now I seem to be the ony one who has relocated it (onto the dash) and got a penalty for it and DesertRat had a valuable input. I drove over 35,000km with no plate in the front btw. I see you are permanently improoving in internet-forum-kung-fu
