Can anyone help me out with the details of a brake pad install. I have searched for a DIY but could not find one. I wanted to get this done this weekend if I get a chance.
I have an AP1. I would like to know if a novice can do this too?
Thanks.

Brakes on a Honda are about as easy as it gets, my uncle who has worked on domestic stuff for years did his accord about a month ago and continues to rave about how easy it was. Which is funny because I have done brakes on a Ford Focus and found those easier than a Honda but I digress!
A couple of tips I have
Use the old pad with a clamp to push the piston in on the front calipers.
On the rears spend 5-10 bucks at the local auto parts store on the honda specific tool to turn the rear piston back into place, its safer than using neddle nose, screwdrivers and all other various types of things I have seen used over the years on rear disc honda setups Thsi way you don't have to worry about tearing the piston boot.
Other than that it sounds like all the other basics were covered in the other thread.
Good luck with the install! To me there is nothing more satisfying than working on your own car and enjoying the work once complete, that and being able to look at it and know you did it your self.

Thanks I will use your advice and get the tool needed. The last thing I need is to tear or break something that will just cause more money and headache. It is a great feeling doing the work on your own car.
I have learned a lot about the S just doing the little things to it and doing research on here.
Its funny you mention the Ford Focus. I used to have one. It had pretty much everything done to it from ported/polished head, racing cams, chip...
That was a fun car but the S2000 blows it away. The only thing I miss is the back seat lol.
