I was hoping to find someone local and trade them some S2000 labor / knowlege work for their help picking everything out.

The biggest question is, what do you want to do with it?

I know it is a generic question, but I can help you if I know how you will be using it, what you are going to shoot, etc... I don't make any recommendations otherwise. This way you don't end up like my father who told me what he wanted to do with it, but luckily I knew about the kids sporting events and yet he still didn't listen. I told him exactly what camera to buy, but he still chose to buy the craptastic D-40 from Nik. and low and behold it doesn't perform how he wants it to.

(I used to be a manager for Best Buy and the Home Theater/Digital Imaging departments were my specialty. Plus, I own 4 D-SLR's)
