I think we've been through this on several threads at this point. Why not focus on which stock you are the least down in or even up in?

I'm down 33% in NOV (biggest loser) after buying down with force but I'm up double digits in WMI, KMP, PWE, and BP. No point in focusing on negativity when you should be buying if you are in the game at this point at all.

Sure. I'll post my worst unrealized loss -- PRXI (Premiere Exhibitions owns and tours international exhibitions: Titanic, Bodies, Dialog in the Dark, Star Trek, Sports Immortals). Got in around $4.50 average. Hovering around $0.70 lately!

I feel a little better that Mark Sellers got snookered by this one too! Sellers Capital (unwinding as we speak) snapped up 15+% of the stock and got on the BOD. I still like the business but not the management. We finally dumped expensive CEO Bruce Eskowitz, taken from Live Nation, but old-now-new CEO Arnie Geller is a joke.

-60% on my Etrade account, and -40% on my Roth IRA. However, I did take and reinvest money throughout the year, so my losses are actually not as bad as the numbers say. I would say the etrade account is actual 40% and my IRA is a full 40%. However, I'm in it for the super long term, so I guess I am going to check the stocks again....in 10 years.

How the Mighty Have Fallen: Buffett, Other Legends Feel Bear Market Bite
Posted Nov 20, 2008 01:56pm EST by Aaron Task in Investing, Newsmakers, Recession

Feeling mauled by the seemingly undying bear market? Take a look at the year-to-date performance for some biggest of the big-name investors and consider yourself in good company:

* Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway): -43%
* Ken Hebner (CMG Focus Fund) -56%
* Harry Lange (Fidelity Magellan): -59%
* Bill Miller (Legg Mason Value Trust) -50%
* Ken Griffin (Citadel): -44%
* Carl Icahn (Icahn Enterprises): -81%
* T. Boone Pickens: Down $2 billion since July
* Kirk Kerkorian: Down $693 million on his Ford shares alone

My guest John Roque, managing director and technical analyst at Natixis Bleichroeder, suggests these staggering losses are simply a matter of the fact that "a bear market gets everyone"
