Thanks, both of you. Exactly what I tried to get at.
Bri - In theory, you're probably right. But as I heard somewhere:
Great people buy low and sell high.
Bad people buy high and sell low (me).
Good people buy high and sell higher.
Hell, I think I heard this from C3 even!
But, my interpretation is that there's no point in buying now (as you know), if we can *safely* predict further drops. I'd get in once the bulls start coming back, and we have some significant and relevant upward pressure. We'll get it - eventually. Patience, for now - I suppose.

No rate cut (which shouldn't happen anyways)

ehhhh I have a feeling if things get REALLY bad in Sept, something will happen with rates. What will happen to all those 401 ks etc with people screaming about retirement
For the ETFs listed, DOG etc how long would you recommend holding those for? a few weeks? 1 month?
Aftermarket for DOW is hovering around negative 160-200....

So assuming we had a crystal ball and knew that a fierce bull market would come, which stocks would you buy without hesitation???
if-- for some amazing reason-- the stock market finds reason to turn around this week and the bulls start stampeding-- I'd probably stick with my selections from several weeks ago.

Hey guys, I am doing this Fantasy Stock Exchange game on Facebook.
So far I am going fully hedged against the market - purchasing QID, DOG, SH...
I am shorting IBs, RIO, MT, CVX, COP, CX, NYX, LEH, KFN, etc etc.
I bought a little EMC for the hell of it.
Any suggestions? If you could short anything, what would it be?
Purchase?
Fun game.

Music is turned up a little and people have tapped the kegs but the party isn't even rowdy yet and it'll be a while before the cops show up.
I can finally say the party is getting started.
Either get cash or hedge yourself through cthree's ideas. If you are just now bailing out you better have been taking incremental profits or shame on you..
