Default Prosper.com - has anybody tried it?

Right now on prosper.com, I'm loaning out $100 at 15% interest just to simply try it. After about three months I haven't had any problems, and I hope it stays this way. What do you guys think? I'm thinking of investing more money and being careful of what listings to bid on.

Oh my. I can think of much better ways to make a buck other than issuing high risk loans to people you don't know.

A good idea is to invest in small increments just to be safe, assuming the transaction costs are not significant.

It's legit, but I'm chicken on trying it out.... the min. you can invest per loan is $50, so the way to do is to diversify say a grand into 20 different loans to spread the risk.

The guy that started this started E-LOAN. It's actually a pretty ingenious idea.

Like I said earlier in post, there was a decent write up on this in INC. magazine, so I am sure it is pretty legit.

CTHREE may not feel like agreeing, since he pushes mutual funds and stocks and canadian things....

but worth a try if you want a different investment. I am curious to see long term feedback from s2ki members....
