We can certainly live in hope, although I'm not sure we're really underdogs to the same extent as teams like Senegal when they beat France, and now South Korea.

France....Argentina.....Italy....all out.
Shame, no one likes to see that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I do have a big problem with the Germany v USA game tho - I really cant work out who I want to win least! (I'm sorry, but I just cannot contenance the remotest possibility that the US could win the World Cup - if the general population cant give a toss about footie, then they shouldnt be allowed to enter a team)

Dont mince your words Ian!!!!
For me the ideal scenario is either USA or South Korea playing England in the final. Ive got 110/1 on USA and 50/1 on Korea, hence I'll be shouting for england but if they lose I'll have some money to blow consoling myself. Mind you Ireland would have been nicer, I had 250/1 on them and I thought they were very unlucky against a spanish side who didnt seem to have any guts for a fight.

I find it amazing that only 2 weeks ago after the first game, everyone was virtually writing off Englands chances (not just of winning the cup, but getting through the group stage). Now, everyone's ranking England's chances of success very highly - Even Brazil!!
