Bumper Saga
My suggestion, stick with falconis for paint. Using insurance adjuster suggestions, will most likely net you an even cheaper place, and probably more problems. Not to bash phil, im just saying. Thats my experience, and ive had a TON of shit painted. While almost nobody does good paint work anymore, falconis still puts out some very good work.

If you just bring them the bumper and they don't blend the paint in to the fenders & hood the paint will NEVER match perfectly. as I said before. The metal flake will literally lay down differently on the bumper and create a different hue.
Just be glad you are not dealing with a Perle color, as you'd have to repaint half the car to get the colors to blend.

I think you miss understand.
When I say blend it in to the fenders & hood, I mean they will take your car, Prep the bumper + Fenders + hood. Then Spray the bumper and partly in to the fender and Hood, so that the color from the bumper Fades through the fenders & hood back to the original color. Effectively Blending the two different colors visually.
If they only spray the bumper, the colors will never match perfectly.

I had my car done both at S.M.AB and Falconi Auto Repair. In my opinion both of those places are pretty good. But from seeing the way your car turn out if that were me I would of been mad too. I am glad that you take appropriate action rather then just straight up flaming the shop.

can't you get oem bumpers already painted factory?
Even the factory suzuka blue oem front lip do not match exactly.
Blue usually doesn't fade too terribly much, but the pigments in all colors get burnt out over time.
So its not surprising that a new factory painted bumper doesn't match your car. Tie that in with that color being a Metallic... and you fall in to the same issues as MEGURO<->2006, where quite literally the grain of the metal flakes will lay differently then the rest of the car & cast a slightly different hue.
