changes.
I also want to add that I do not mind other cars being at the meets. I think that Ray is one of the coolest guys at the meets. I know he is into autocrossing, but he doesnt go around talking crap about other motorsports. He likes car and racing period. Even if he doesnt care for drag or street racing, he never posts negative things about it. Some other IS300 guys are really cool as well and I have made some friends out of them.

Personally, I am sick of hearing that autocross is the only real motorsport and that people who dont autocross there s2000s are wasting a $35k machine. If you want to autocross, autocross. Just dont talk shit about other motorsports or put people down for not wanting to engage in autocrossing.
Yes, I may not care to hear about street racing and we all do tease folks for it. but, none of us ever bash anyone for being into drag racing. let's make this perfectly clear, STREET RACING does NOT equal Drag Racing.
I drag race. I bracket race. I don't street race. Plenty of drag racers would not like to be associated with street racing. With that said, I JOKE about drag racing... I also JOKE about autocrossing.
by the way, i still haven't received a PM from anyone who has an issue with me.
That is because I dont have an issue with you. I do think that at times you are funny, but I also think that you are way out of line sometimes. If you don't like street racing, why do you go into the "street encounters" forums. Is it just to bash on Dave? It seems like every time Dave posts about what cars he beats you and or JP have smart ass comments to add.

We started this wednesday night meet as a bunch of "car people" getting together. In the beginning we had everything from old chevy show trucks to lvdrift people to german car people to club racers to........you get the idea. Conversations aren't always neccisaily about cars either. (we've talked everything from clubbing to home improvement)
the fact the our wednesday night meets includes all types of car enthusiasts is awesome. I think that is what makes us unique. I have met a bunch of cool people and look forward to getting to know you guys and gals better.
s2k tech days would be rad along with s2k detail days.
WOW. Can I chime in here? I see it both ways. Before I get flamed by those that don't know me, I am one of the OG LV members. I was modding my S before many of you first saw the S in the Fast and Furious.
I remember the first Official LV meet, you can probably still find the thread if you search. It was cool to FINALLY meet some people that could relate to the issues that I was having with this specific car. Because of those first few meets, I feel that I have made some lifelong friends. Even if they move on to other cars, I will still consider them close friends.
I consider myself a car guy, and enjoy talking to other car guys, but I'm not going to ask the SRT guy for advice on adjusting the valves on my S2k or modding the Sti for that matter. Take yesterday for example. I was at the Subaru dealer getting the Sti serviced and a S2k pulled in the parking lot. I started talking to him and he mentioned that his Maint Req'd light was on. I, a S2k owner albeit at the Sube dealer, showed him how to reset the light. Would a regular dodge, honda, or sube owner know how to do that? Probably not, it was a S2k owner helping out another S2k owner. I think that there should be specific S2k meets, or atleast S2k tech days.
On the other hand, a car guy is a car guy. If there are a group of people getting together to talk cars, and I have some free time, I'm there. Most of the people at the LV meets don't even know me, but they are all friendly to me when I show up. Why? Because of the larger common interest. Cars. So when Jesse sells his S to pay for his Supra, am I still going to hang out w/him? Of course! And then there's Dustin who does all the work on their S but never drives it and I still hang out w/ him right?
As far as Karim as a CO, he's doing a better job than I could've done. He always seems to be open for suggestions. Hell, Jesse and I spent about a half hour trying to decide to meet up at burger king a couple weeks ago! Where do you want to go? I don't know, where do you want to go?
What I'm trying to say here is that if I'm in town and there's a meet, I'm there. No matter what cars show up, as long as it's a good group of friendly people I know I'll enjoy myself. My suggestion, just keep all the trash talking to a minimum. And if your gonna talk trash, make sure the person you are talking trash to knows that your doing just that.......Talking Trash. Can't we all just get along?

First let me say this, "I love you Chris." I remember the first meet that I went to at Sunset Station and have loved meeting up with the s2k people ever since. Dustin is the coolest guy that I have ever known. He is willing to go out of his way for anybody that needs anything done to there cars. Jesse and Christen are a pleasure to hang out with and I would hate to lose them as friends just because they bought a new car. I also agree that Karim does an excellent job maintaning peace in this forum, but by doing so, people have been building up anger. I don't remember the last S2000 only meet to tell you the truth. I suppose some people need to let things go, but dont know how. It seems like people bring up the same shit over and over just to try to get further under people's skins. Either way, Im not going anywhere. Just not gonna hang out with the people that I don't choose to associate myself with. I understand where Dave is coming from with the Friday or Saturday S2000 only meets. Nobody knows our club in Vegas. Alot of people dont even know what the hell an s2000 looks like. People know about the LVDR guys and Mustang guys, because they get the word out that they are here. I think Dave is trying to get some exposure for S2000s. I don't have a problem with autocrossing. I like it. I like that it gets the word of s2000s out to people who enjoy autocrossing. S2000s driving on a drag strip and running 13s or 14s stock get the word out that with some tuning, an S2000 can be a drag car to be recconed with. Myself, I personally enjoy car shows. To me, I want people to see a nice looking s2000 and want to buy one to modify themselves. Whatever floats your boat.

Damn alot of has happened since yesterday afternoon.
I will put in my 2 cents. I have been there since the very beginning with the OG s2k meet that was 4 strong
. The Vegas S2k group has came along way since then. We were always open to others from the very beginning like when Karim didnt have a S.
Also I have met alot of great friends since that first meeting that have become very close to me.
I dont see anything wrong with the Wed meets. They are great for people to come talk about different kinds of cars and anything else. The only problem I have seen for the ones I have attended is that there is certain clics. Like for example the big meet for Sema at BWW. Everybody was in there little groups instead of just having a one big group so everybody could have met the out of towners visiting.
On the S2k only meets I agree we should try to set those up more. I know we have done a few here and there like the Mt. Charleston drive and a tech day but more would be nice. Im always open to having a tech day at my house and helping others at anytime.
We need more different kind of meets like bowling, movies, mini-golf, karting, etc..... I have set some up in the past and they have turned out very good and everybody had a good time.
I know certain people will butt heads from time to time but some of the things are way out of line. People need to respect that everybody is different and have different tastes. Dont bash others for what kind of racing they like or if they dont race or prefer to show their car.
