*sigh* well, let me brush up on some of the stuff i have read. i feel like michael moore here. people take *pieces* of what i said, and interpret that alone, sorry gang, entire story is as one.
karim, you do one helluva a job, i agree with that, and didnt mean you any distaste. i agree, people should be able to go to a meet and say what they want and do what they want. look, every sunday, i go to the 10 second meet, there we talk smack, and we all have different types of cars, it is a gearhead meet. thats just fine, i never said it was bad, as most of you seemed to take it that way, i like all cars too. but what im saying is, id rather not have people who are negative towards the s2k at the meets. thats why i suggested a s2k only meet. alot of people have called me and voiced their opinion about how they are tired of the meets, because of certain folks, and would like an s2k only meet. thats why i posted this.
kam, nothing you can ever do will ruin my day, or cause me not to want to eat dinner. im not going to PM you asking you not to come. i hate no one, and take nothing personal, you should know that by now. BUT, i get tired of seeing you run all over the net, on half of the forums i go to, talking trash about drag racers, and the sport they are involved in. i know you dont like street racing, but its been here since the 30s, and isnt going anywhere. you can come to the meets if you want anytime, ill give you a hug if thatd make your day. but i am tired of you and JP having something to say everytime i post in street encounters,,, i thought you hated that stuff, well then why do the 2 of you comb it so closely then talk trash about everything i say? it gets old, having the same mosquito buzzing along side your ear when you are having a good day. the reason i have retorted to what you 2 say, is, know i will never back down to anyone, especially not you 2. dont think you can get away with running your mouth, about how fast i am, when neither of you is faster.
as for the rest of you, jessie and alex, i mean you no harm. jessie read my story again before you second guess me, i used my management position as a reference point so that you would understand my level in life, so often kam and others here, like to assume stuff, and i didnt want anyone assuming i am an idiot, so i referenced what i do every day, so they would trust what i say. alex,.. well, i dont know what your deal is, but part of what you said helps me. you talk about segregation. well, it is good for the sport. look at the LV F body meet. they ONLY have camaros... right, look at SNMA they only have mustangs right..... well thats my idea, fairly normal, s2ki, they only have s2ks right.... i just want to get exposure for the car, as ryan has observed.
anyways, excuse the book, i write like i speak. and yes sometimes im long winded. i only mean the best for everyone. so, maybe we plan 2 meets a week, one where everyone comes, and one where just s2ks come. bottom line, we need more members and id like to see 20 s2ks at one of our meets in the near future. i would also like to see a major west coast s2k event held here. that will benefit us all. so take it easy, and keep on smilin. laters dave

Well, i can now say i feel unwelcome at BWW. I know most of you will say "oh no, its cool. Bring your SRT to the meet." But i believe that to be mostly a politically correct statement. So, i will no longer attend. I can't say for sure, but i suspect the other SRT owners won't either. No big deal.

I love the S2000, ever since Jesse got me interested in it. Many times we would ride to McDonalds for lunch and catch people's eyes in it. It looks good and its fast. He got me started into the whole car scene. In fact, it was Jesse that talked me into my SRT. Well, look at that. An S2000 owner that's friends with someone who doesn't own one. I've never talked shit about Jesse's car (seriously) and as a result of him owning one, i've gained respect for them. Yes, we've street raced each other and i've won but i know for a fact if there was a turn anywhere in that race, he'd a killed me. So great post, Dave. Way to turn CAR ENTHUSIASTS away from your meets.

. Hell, Jesse and I spent about a half hour trying to decide to meet up at burger king a couple weeks ago! Where do you want to go? I don't know, where do you want to go?
don't leave anything up to chris and i, things will never get done.
Although i don't know anything about you Dave, the only thing i've heard is how much you like to street race the S2K and what cars you can beat and what not.
You can't be a hippocrit (don't hate because i can't spell )

alot of us here are friends if not great friends. I also remember back in the day before the LV club was formed. I met Jimmy at the track and started hanging out with him. Then i met Chris, Dustin, Karim, Ryan, JP and others and we all just sort of clicked to some since. There was no problem with anything. As far as other cars are concern, i think it's bad @ss that one club could draw all different kinds of car lovers togther in one place. That says alot about our character to accept people for who they are and not what they drive.
If you want to have your "s2000 only" meets, just post the time, date, when and where. People will show up if that's what they want. eventually christen and i will no longer be able to attend these because of the car we drive. Which pretty much sucks because i love the s2k but can't afford to keep both my S2k and my supra. (which would be pimp if i could )
And for autocross, show n shine, drag racing, what ever, who cares. People have different things that makes them love the car they chose to buy. Anyways, i can't believe were having a long discussion on this because to me it's just childish trying to segregate between cars instead of growing friendships with each other.
I'm going to try and come to as many S2k meets as i can because that's where it all started with for Christen and I, and we'll keep coming till were told to get lost. We'll park in the back if anyone has a problem with my car there
Anyways, all of you rock!

I also just wanted to add, that I have no hatred to anyone on here. Not even you Dave. I think we should all get along, which i know is impossible, but that's just the real world i guess. And if people are talking smack about the s2k, they shouldn't come to a meet that's held by people that own s2k's. I love the s2000 and would love to be around them all the time even though i won't have mine anymore.
Anyways, <HUGS> for everyone

Nate, I hope you don't stop showing up. It was nice to meet you and you and the srts guys seem liek a great bunch. I've known Will for years ever since he's had his first Stratus in high school. He is a greta guy and I'd hate to see you guys stop showing up The Wed meets are meant to be a meet with FRIENDS. That is how they started and thats how they will stay. Any friend of Jesse is a friend of mine

Dave, I took no distaste to what you said don't worry. Everyone has an opinion and your welcome to it. I am a pretty open minded person and try to see the side of someone elses opinion before passing a judgment and making a decsion on something.

Ryan I feel the exact same way you do. It doens't matter what someone does with their cars. Show's cone dodging (we might have 5-7 s2ks at the next autocross if people actually wake up!), track days, drag racing. It's all good by me.

Jesse and Alex great posts! You guys are more than welcome at any meet I organize! but you guys knew that already hehe
Also Jesse, you and Chris together are just like when Jimmy and I get together. You should've seen him, Joe, and I at the fashion show mall. After dinner it took us almsot 30 mins to decide Jimmy wanted a candy apple. We ended up leaving then meeting up later at the Bellz mall so Jimmy could finally get his candy apple! Bahahaha

Dustin and Chris. The OG S2kiers! I think you guys are 2 of the few locals that have been on s2ki longer than I have. I remember after I got my car and one of the first times we all hung out together at Chillis. Marco told us crazy stories about driving in the Europe and we found a mouse under Chris's hood next to his intake Thanks for the great times!

I think Dustin hit it on the money where he said things tend to get clicky sometimes. I remember thinking that same thing during the SEMA meet and wandering around to random groups trying to get to know more people. I understand that everyone has a preference of peopel they like to be around. All I ask is those groups open their arms to meeting new peopel and making new friends. You can learn something from everybody

One of the things that always turned me onto s2ki is how open minded the majority of the people were and how open they were to people who own other cars. I remember the first s2ki derek daily racing school outing. The original sign ups were a bunch of s2k track junkies and me. The amount of people allowed to go was very small but they didn't just limit them to s2k owners. I was ecstatic that they let me sign up even though I didn't have an s2k and didn't have anywhere near the track experiance they did. I ended up not being able to go due to a family thing but it was after that and how well I t was treated by the people on this board even though I didn't have an s2k at the time that helped me decide this was a community I wanted to be part of.

I consider everyone here a friend. It's an absolute pleasure and an honor to be the CO of this group and meet so many great people.

Karim

talking trash about drag racers, and the sport they are involved in.
find one example and I'll agree with this. Please use an example that's been within the past year.

kudos if you can, liar liar pants on fire if you can't.

Like I said before, street racing is NOT drag racing. Don't confuse the two. Drag racers might get offended.

to say everytime i post in street encounters
...another misleading remark. I can pull up the thread to refresh your memory. to cliff notes it, a friend mentioned that your stock S2000 is a 11sec car. I said it was 10.8 to compensate for the altitude difference. you've cried wolf twice now and yet, i see no wolf.
