Yeah, when I'm driving around town I usually have it on L mode and it seems to lower the amount of false signals. There is also a way to disable the x-band. I actually did it on accident one time and it worked out great. Then when I sent it in for service, the put it back to factory default and I haven't taken the time to figure out how to do it again.
