Default thieves

all i can say is last nite blows. first off my boss house gets broken into. then my s2k gets broken into. they slashed the top, and rummaged through my stuff. they didnt take anything.. of mine. i drop it off at honda west, and get this real weird feeling. what is missing here. last nite kevin dropped off his car with me. i put the keys in my center console, where i wouldnt lose them... gone. so thats bullshit, and i dont know what to do or say. kevin knows and hes sad too . im in high doubts they will ever even see his car, or figure out what car those keys go to. but it just sucks. and now the car is locked and we have to order a key, setting us back further on getting it done..... .

anyways. laters all. just thought id groan about my situation. im sure kevin will come here and groan too, it makes you feel better. lates

So Honda West can fix your top "in house" or are they subbing out the work to another shop? We don't have dealership in SoCal that can do that kinda work. They always end up sending the car out to someone else to screw up.

Where did they cut the top? I mean what area of the top itself. I never can visualize how they can gain access unless the bend the top frame at the same time? Send me a PM if you don't wanna publish such info - I understand.

Exactly why the US needs stronger penalties for breaking the law.

Two Words.... SUCK ASS.

Hope you get every thing back together quickly... it sucks to have a "damaged" car. (I just got mine back last weekend, from that 5 car pileup..)

I know exactly what you feel man. I got my top slashed too all for a f'n IPOD. My insurance wont pay the dealer price of 2800 bucks so they send me to a fabrication shop because they can do it cheaper for 1500. Right now im rolling on black duct tape until i move to my new house. So if you see a 05 red s2k with black duct tape top thats me. I hate thieves if I ever catch them Ill give them a wack just for your suffering bro.

Sure they can. Read your contract. If you agreed to non-OEM replacements when you purchased the policy (usually a way to reduce premiums) then you have nothing to say about it.
