No way does Laguna own Sears. Laguna, besides the 7-8-9 combo, is not a really challenging or exciting track. Sears kicks ass all the way around. And anyone I've talked to who's done both prefers Sears by a large margin.

Anyway, 8 hours to go to a track day, so what? And dont't give me that driving to the track in your race car business...I know you have access to a truck/trailer like you used to go to Cal Speedway

But hey, it's all good. You can continue to waste all of your track time in the flatlands

what next, Portland ?

i don't doubt Sears Point is a nice track, but christ... 8hrs to go to? and Laguna > Sears from almost anyone who's done both!

but, this is what speaks louder than the actual driving a CRX for 8hrs+
$1000 weekend (track entry fee, hotel fee, gas fee, food fee, etc)
or
$300 weekend (track entry fee, gas fee, etc).
you are right about the cost of going to northern cali. but on the otherhand its a rad place. you'll get to drive over the golden gate. ive driven over it probably hundreds of times but its still cool for me. i dont' think i have driven it in the S. man its probably so fun driving the S around in the city... lot of people aren't into the whole scenery thing but if you are its awesome. Sonoma is not that far from SF. i think it just rocks out there. its really fun times. if you made a trip out of it you can go clubbing or some shit in the city at night. Theres lots to do out there. its not vegas though.

i'm actually can't afford the $350 for the trackday. but its good to know that one of the best tracks in cali resides in Sonoma County. One of my best friends from college whom is a lawyer in SF grew up in Sonoma. i'm going to ask him if he's heard of the track.
