Default Vegas Trip

Going on a Vegas trip within the next month.
I was wondering where is a good hotel to stay at that is on the strip.
Also... what good shows are there?

Any deals out there?

Thanks

Depends on what your price range is for the hotel room.and if you haven't seen "O" you might want to check it out as people say it's the best one.

you might want to check this out for available rooms and shows.

If the budget allows, the Bellagio is a cracking hotel.
I've not seen the rooms in the Wynn, but the Hotel is a bit OTT imo (Actually so is the Bellagio )
On a budget? I've been recommended the Luxor by a couple people.
My personal favourite is the Mirage.
Staying at Caesars this year though, so that could change.

Go see 'O'
I'll be seeing it for the third time in April.

I must make an effort to see Ka this time as well.

I agree. You can't go wrong with the Mirage (its an awesome property. My favorite as well, too)

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino FTW!

Just came back from Super Bowl weekend. Off the beaten path, and lots of talent

As a Limey lurking in the void I am taking a liberty and benefiting from your free collective advice.

My first USA visit & on a very brief budget package trip next month, just 2 days in Vagas. 7/8 March. No idea of the hotels I'll be staying at but it is obvious I must check out the Bellagio and Venetian, right?
Will my wife feel safe on her own the day that I check out some big canyon down the road? She will want to do a little light shopping, have lunch somewhere etc.,

Then a days drive to Palm Springs for 2 days

Will enjoy spotting S2000's during my stay!!!

Tell the wife to check out the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. You can easily loose a day in there and there's plenty of places to eat. And safe as houses.

For a bit more money there's some rather select names at the Bellagio, or at the lower end of the cost scale, but still very nice, there's the Fashion Show Mall opposite the Wynn.
Hi Fletch

I picked up a Top 10 Vegas guide from the library today which seems to answer most of my questions and endorses your comments re. Forum shops.
Time will be very short, just 2 days, so realise we will only get a snapshot impression. Also have to bear in mind we may be a bit knackered after the long flight.

Are they still taking helicopters down into the Grand Canyon? I thought this had ceased because of disturbing the wildlife.
