Dear Lainey --

Where's my carrot cake?

Bruce
Bruce,

I only wish you had showed up at our place to consume the carrot cake I purchased for myself. I would not have had any problem sharing it with you since you had a medical reason to eat carrot cake, i.e. the need to put on a few pounds.

Bass on the other hand.......

Until I see you again, my dear, for $1.99, Shaw's Supermarket can supply you with your carrot cake fix.

Sincerely,

Lainey

We are top down as much as possible and slather on the sun screen. I'm sure it's still too much sun, but much less skin exposure than the beach vacations we used to enjoy so much.
I use sunscreen on my neck and ears, but that is about it.

My top is always down, unless it is raining, or the car is parked. Thanks to my good friend Abhi, he has tought me a way cooler way to drive top down in the summer heat when the sun is just beating down without mercy. Now I will admit, it took me a while to try it, but after the 1st time, I was sold, clearly the hot climate guy knew what he was talking about.

I wear a huge 2XL pure white, 100% cotten, long sleeve t-shirt. The white reflects light, the cotton absorbs sweat, the long sleeves keeps the sun from pounding on me direct, and the breeze because it is so huge helps keep me cool. I actually have one of these shirts packed in my trunk along with sunscreen, so I can be prepared because so often I'll leave the house so early in the day I have no idea what the afternoon weather is going to be like.

I doubt anybody will try it, but for those who do, you just might convert. I'm convinced I'm much cooler just getting the sun off my arms.
