Ben
Not waxed my GTI yet, maybe next week.
Things in common w/ BS... they both have throttle by wire and both mfrs decided to retard their throttle response. Porsche did it to sell a $1000 sports mode option; VW did it to get better MPG. Both are super annoying (more so in the GTI) and take the fun out of driving.
I got a sprint booster that took care of the throttle lag in the BS. I flashed the GTI w/ APR stage 1. It gained big number in HP and even bigger number in TQ but it did not get rid of the lag. I then bought a throttle controller that should take care of the lag. I can't get it to work yet b/c it appears the wiring in P&P harness is not aligned correctly.
