S2KI is a service mark of Petersen Ventures LLC, A Delaware registered limited liability company. PVLLC operates electronic bulletin board services and is therefore classed as a common communications carrier. As such we are not responsible for the content posted or messages sent by the users of the service except as mandated by relevant laws. This absolution of liability has been proven in court time and time again in case after case. Use of the website(s) is governed by our Terms of Service agreement ALL users must agree to when they create their accounts.

What a community is, how it's managed, what they do and what constitutes a member of that community is entirely organic and formed by consensus of users. PVLLC doesn't mandate or enforce any structure or responsibility. To meet or not meet, to charge dues or not, to have sponsors or not or elect or nominate or dictate leadership is entirely out of our control. Communities are formed by request and control of that community is granted to the person(s) who make the request if and when it is approved. After that a community is self determined.

PVLLC offers support services to that community including computing resources, communications bandwidth and computer administration services. We don't influence directly the structure of the communities once they are formed nor do we influence the number or type of events the community holds. We may at our option choose to sponsor certain events at arms length if we feel it in the interest of PVLLC or its properties.

To each community we extend a bulletin board forum named for the community and grant the CO(s) administrative control over the messages posted in that/those forum(s) including the ability to sticky/pin/promote certain topics and edit or delete topics or posts made within the communities forum(s).

Each community also receives a banner publishing account allowing the CO(s) the ability to inject advertising into the pages of their forum.

Each CO gets access to the CO forum to promote discussions related to managing a community with the administrators and other COs.

Each community get a "badge", a small graphic they can choose to attach to user's profile which they consider to be members of their community.

Each community receives the right to use the S2KI mark, with approval, in ways which encourage loyalty to the brand and participation in S2KI hosted communities. PVLLC retains rights to the mark and control of how it is used and displayed.

That is the totality of what S2KI/PVLLC offers COs and by extension communities. Everything else is determined by consensus of the community members.
