Try the "Great hill road" It is in the forest, lots of twisties, almost perfect road conditions. You will feel like driving on a race track.

If you get speeding ticket, don't blame me:-)

WPS,

Ocean Edge is nice and the bar in the basment of the mansion is great! Golf course is across the street and nice to play. If your in Brewster go to Chillingsworth for dinner, make sure you have reservation! French food, nice atmosphere, great wine list, about 1 1/2 miles west of Ocean Edge right on 6A. They have a casual side and a more formal side, but both are formal style fine dining which is perfect for taking your gf on a romantic dinner. Highly recommend!

For metting friends and stuff Hyannis is the better place. More bars, restaurants, and stuff to do. There are plenty of nice beaches all over the Cape so don't let that influence where you stay. Nauset Beach in Orleans is AWESOME, though Orleans and the lower Cape are probably to slow for meeting friends and partying.

As for traffic, yes there is a lot on the Cape in the summer, you just have to learn how to beat it. DO NOT come down on Friday nite after work or you'll sit in a traffic jam for hours. DO NOT leave on Sunday mid morning if it's raining or you'll sit in the biggest traffic jam you'll ever see! Come down Friday mid day, cough cough your probably feeling sick that day, leave Sunday night and the worlds a brighter place.

As Hoth said we just had a drive down here last week and we found plenty of open road to have some fun on once the sun went down. See the Cape Cod posts from last week.

As it gets closer I'll be glad to give you more specific ideas and places to go.

BTW you can do the whale watching right from Barnstable harbor in Hyannis too! I high speed catamaran that takes about 300 people speeds and hour and fifteen minutes out to that whale watching area off P-Town. Either way is nice, the P-Town trips have less time on the water due to less travel but some people who may worry about sea sickness find that comforting ( as shorter trip I mean)

Enjoy the rock!

Bob
