Cool

It doesn't matter if the colors match, its what is comfortable for you to use. I just bought a new PC and I'm keeping my old mouse but using the new keyboard because I like the touch. The mouse was bought separately anyway. And while they do match, it wouldn't matter either way. Its a TOOL not a fashion statement...function over form, IMO.

And really...its whats INSIDE the box that matters: quad core intel processors, 4 gigs of ram, 256 meg video card...for you geeks out there

for non matching components. My home set up is not ergonomic. Who knows the reaching could have contributed to my shoulder/arm problem.

For the cheapest fix I just picked up a nice wireless mouse and keyboard. I can even type with the keyboard in my lap. I think this will work just fine, but now I'm back to a non matching monitor and speakers. How will I sleep tonight?

This is very possible, actually its not a laughing matter in big biz. Rose's company spends countless $ making sure every chair, desk and peripheral is matched to the user.

The state of Maine actually requires every employer with x amount of computer users to give a course on safety on this matter.

In the event that computer work contributed to my problem, I now have a much better set up at work. I don't want a repeat on the other arm, it's already being strained doing all the work for two arms for the last little while.

we do ergonomics but I still slouch in my chair and put my feet on my desk and sit side saddle with my keyboard in my lap.

I can't be creative with a lot of direct pressure on my brai..er..butt.

Keyboard in lap works...it's the reaching for the mouse. New chair, new desk, laptop from my recliner? That may be best solution.
