email support
ok maybe I'm vain ( probably not much doubt actually) but occaisionally i have a fairly good idea. my recent pet peeve is with online email systems from big companies like comcast or chase bank.
The good news is they provide this nice email utility to send requests etc to them.
the bad news is they either don't have real people responding i.e a computer filtering for keywords and sending a automatic repsonse. or they blithering idiots who do the same thing and manually cut and paste the equivalent of an automatic response.
example:
good thing: credit card company has online services
good thing: you can access billing statement as PDF
good thing: you can access account activity as a CSV file and download to excel to review.
bad thing: the data you download for the same period doesn't have the same dates as the billing statement.
action:
e-mail tech support and ask why.
I also suggest they allow you to one-click to get .csv instead of a pdf for billing period instead of jumping through eight windows and manually selecting dates.
result:
they send detailed instructions on how to download the file I'm already looking at.
is it me or is stupidity rampant? is it viral?
can you catch it by interacting with these morons?
