I will have to check out the PS2 to see what it's all about, sounds pretty cool. Sounds like Aaron wants to get a bunch of folks together to try it out.

Maybe this sunday, if I have mine by the time I get back from my trip, we could do a head to head at Aaron's - anyone want to supply a TV?

Derrick:

You need to fully break-in your engine - the mileage is not always a good measure of engine break in. You probably need to drive harder and stop doing all that highway driving!

Don't go to synth oil until your oil consumption rate is well stabilized.

Many older DOHC VTEC engines will burn oil because many folks changed to Mobil 1 too early. Also, the earlier DOHC VTEC engine blocks were not as stiff as the ones today and under high load/rpm, they tend to flex - and thus cause more oil usage.

Derrick, just let me use your S2000 at one of the autocross events and I'm sure it'll be broken in by the time the day is over.

Derrick, don't you also want to make sure there are no extra bolts or clips in your car after Aaron is done?

maybe... sigh~~ I am now in a very bad moon...
my old golf.... the transmission started to have strange sound... and then, I take it to the shop early today.... and.. they told me... There is a very big chance my transimission need to be replaced.... he changed the transmission oil for me to see if that may be the problem.... but... yes, the sound is smaller.... but still there.... so... I am afraid I have to change the transmission...!! damn, it is gonna cost me a lot of money... but, Maybe I will ask them for auto transmission if I really need one..!! feel so bad now...

Derrick,
Depending upon what the problem is, you may be able to just drive the car as is, with the noise, for another year. If you are going to sell it when you go to Taiwan, no sense in dumping a lot of money into it. I had an '84 Firebird with a bad manual transmission that I drove for about a year....made a lot of noise, but that was it.
