Does anyone make a locking cap for oil tanks? I would imagine as the
price keeps going up, people will be stealing it right out of other people's
houses...we could market a locking cap and make a fortune!

You leave him the key, he unlocks it, fills the tank and puts the key in
a predetermined location.

Some local fishing vessels have added some kind of locking mechanism to their fuel tanks.

These boats are burning 40-50K per fishing trip. They are not ready to let some scum/bum (using sireousrex's termonology) steal from them. The fuels for the vessel comes off the top of the trip catch, meaning the crew pays the expense. They certainly don't want to part with more $ than they need to for fuel.

The bubble will break. We could do more to make it break sooner, but the ecologists and "Big Oil" will not let the rest of the country do what it needs to do.

1. Nuclear power to meet all current and future electrical needs. Wind, solar and hydro can certainly be developed further, but let's cut the crap and build some nukes! This will help us convert some of the national fleet to electric cars.

2. Empower the Department of Energy to create a state owned and operated oil exploration, producing, refinement and delivery system to compete with the private sector.

3. Drill in Anwar. All Anwar oil is produced and delivered to consumers by the DOE.

4. Drill in the Gulf of Mexico and off of Florida - same ownership as 3.

DO IT!
#4 is actually being done right now.
