Hold a piece of plywood straight up and down into the wind at high speeds and tell me if it provides any downforce for you...assuming you're not ripped out of the car , the board will only slow you down. Those front mudflaps aren't gonna do diddly for downforce...they're vertical.

I think the flaps are there so that stones and stuff on the road have a smaller chance to come in contact with the tires. Rear tires have them, too.

You can see them clearly on these three pics. Rear ones are harder to see except maybe the last pic.

Hehe, you'd need a huge flap in front of the front bumper for that. Then, where does the front license plate go?
