Default Front Bumper Respray?

I am looking to shave the H emblem in the front and respray the front bumper since it is DESTROYED after track days back in Arizona and the rock chips. I know the color is Silverstone and have been told it is nearly impossible to match. GREEEAT

I am told by friends that you can get your bumper resprayed for $300.

I visited local body shop and was told for
Color matching, mixing it certain way so thepaint is flexible and doesn't spider web... etc...etc would be around $600. WTF? Same was quoted for the rear bumper, $600 to repair my hit and run. I am being fed and should I go and find a better body shop or just accept what I am being told?

$600 is a good price to do it RIGHT! I mean you could go to maco and get the whole car painted for 600 but it will only last 6 months lol.

Not sure how that shop is but you always get what you pay for! my .02

I agree , you get what you pay for .

Higher quality paint , flex agents and ect cost $$

To give a example , when I painted my Civic , I spent over $1500 on Paint and supplies and that was at a 20% discount .... that did not include any labor ..

Plus they need to strip of all wax and prep the old paint properly or it will chip . So it all depends on if you want it like factory or if you just want it fixed ...

Yep $600 is prob just about right. You might be able to shop around and find someone for $450-$500 but like it was stated you get what you pay for. The bumpers need the flex agent so they are pricier than a hood or body panel.

$500+ easy for a GOOD job. Do you want to re-do this next year or have it still looking good?

I think $500 - 600 is typical for a decent paint job. Sure it can be done for $300 but they'd do a single coat for everything with minimal prep work. I have been going to Foreign Autobody on Cambridge St in A/B just off the Pike/Storrow for years. They have always done a good job. The owner there, George, would explain to you exactly the steps and detail of the paint job you would get.
