Default Group spark plug update

Can anyone schedule a group spark plug update with one of the local service depts? I figure we can make an event of it if the dealership is willing...

Hi guys,

Not sure how closely you have been following the spark plug "campaign" TSB. I thought I'd post a summary status here of info in various threads around s2ki for my New England compadres...

A few folks in Canada have been contacted by letter from Honda Canada, and have had the work done at their dealers. To my knowledge, no one from the US (at the time of this post) has gotten a letter or gotten the work done at a US dealer.

Matrix (Canada) posted a picture of the new plug. Please note that there's a new, thicker stainless steel washer than the original plug (at least that's what Canada's getting; I suspect same in US). So, demonderrick, what you ordered might not have this change. Also, note the new torque rating. You can probably use the higher force on any plug, but the TSB doesn't talk about that.

Glenn, if a group trip is amenable to a MA dealer, I love the idea and would participate. I don't know if you'll get any nibbles though, because I think the dealers are going to wait for AHM to contact us individually. However, maybe one of the dealers that's in-the-know would be more proactive. I would love to get to know a local dealer like that! Definitely keep me/us posted. I'd even chip in for lunch or something!

Best wishes!

Glenn, if possible, can you set it up ASAP, my car will run out of warranty in another 1K miles...
