those things burn for DAYS before you have to re-load - they will burn green wood too

What do you mean, like fresh wood? or pine?

yup fresh non seasoned wood

whereas a wood stove needs at least 1 year seasoned (dried) wood to preform best and give the most heat

i am still thinking about adding one of these units in the next few years.. the less oil i use the better

The outdoor furnaces are great. Hicks in the boonies of Upstate NY love them as I see thousands when I drive through there to go hunting each year.

pallets are a pain the a$$ to move though, big bulky and very little wood in em.
not to mention lotso nails in the ashes.

Careful about buying one of those ouotside boilers. Towns are banninig them pretty regularly. Neighbors complain about the smoke.
