Default HELP!

ok so the story goes as follows...

i took my headers off to wrap them but didnt have enough wrap so i put them back on. later that night i got an oil change for my car. next day im in school taking my headers off again to finish wrapping. i jetted out of school because i was late for work and hit a few VTEC bursts. a few hours after that i go to turn on my car to warm it up and go home when i noticed a funny noise. i pull it into my shop and open up the hood when i notice my oil cap missing. so i immediately check my oil level and it was only a quart low (luckily) i get a cap for the car and from that day on its had this weird noise when i start it. (sounds like the wobble of a thin sheet of metal)

also it vibrates like crazy when i come to a stop but the revs are normal (1k) and theres no CEL. car runs mint same power and handling. i had someone check it out and they found that my Tensioner pulley... but i ran the car without the serp belt and the noise + vibration were still there which ruled that out.
HELP! please lol

I spoke to Scott but between work and school i only have sunday off so im trying to find a local solution before im forced to make the trip.

maybe you have the wrong oil cap and the valve gear is hitting it.

Bill - the cap is fine and even if that was the issue i wouldnt just go away and come back i'd think it'd be continuous and still doesnt explain the vibrations

PuFF- i'll take that into consideration

well.....because you have the oil cap off........ it sucked in extra air ....which will caused the motor to self destuct.... in result you hear the wierd noise....LMAO actually i have no idea but im quite bored at work!

good luck n let us know if you solve it
