In any profession there are those who will take advantage of their position. Corrupt cops arent anything new, there was recently a sting that brought down members of the Boston PD.

Consider the troops in Iraq. Generally we think of them as making a sacrifice and doing a difficult job... They are often called heroes...

There was a group that ripped off their fellows soldiers credit card info, made large purchases which were shipped to the soldiers, which never made it out of the mailroom...

The soldiers who murdered innocent civilians

I beleive there is a pending rape trial...

In all walks of life, even with the most respected and honorable groups, there is a portion that suck.

 

Sad, but so true.

 

It's greed. Some folks never seem to have enough money and always have things they want beyond their earning abilities.
It is a shame when that kind of thing happens to people you depend on to protect you, but they are human and have faults.

plus they might have thought - hey we're state Troopers who's gonna catch us

 

Shame. They will belong to some guy named Bubba and traded for a pack of smokes in jail. Guys like that piss on the good name of the rest of us.

 

You're right, Jeff, they do.

If we knew Rick or I could retire at 55 with a pension and health care, we'd be doing a not screwing it up by being greedy. A damn shame.
