I'm back
Ok, so I'm back from my honeymoon and back at work. Time to start looking for a winter beater. I truly haven't started yet, but if anyone know of one for a good deal pass it my way. I've got about $3k to play with for a car. My preference is a four door sedan, manual. Top of my list is probably an old Civic (cause it's a Honda), Jetta, or something that runs. I'm looking to get tops of 40k miles out of it for 2-3 years then dump it. Any help would be great. Thanks all, and yes I have sun burn from Jamaica.
I just took a 2001 Hyundai Sonata 112k ,Silver ,power windows and locks ,5speed , fairly new tires. very clean interior , 2 dash trim cracks from a poor radio install at the dealer.
Call me if this interest you , I took it in on trade for $3500 and I just need to get rid of it as it does not belong at Vehinet . (603)-520-6622

No advice for what to get but I am going to say avoid the Jetta... My wife had a Jetta. It had 90K+ miles on it and was developing all kinds of issues. My cousin is a mechanic and said he makes a fortune fixing them.
Also when we traded the 99 Jetta for a 2004 Honda CRV, the same coverage on the Honda was only $20 more, because, according to the insurance co, they cost $$$ to repair so insurance is higher.

Thanks all, well I've been looking around here and found a 94 civic lx for $2k with 108k miles. sedan and 5 speed. Going to check it out tomorrow. Only thing is it's purple, I need to see the condition first. Any big issues on early/ mid 90's civics i should be aware of. If I remember correctly they're pretty reliable and it's a civic so it's cheep to fix.
