Let's be honest, if Honda built a new CRX with only changes to the engine, interior and front bumper, you'd be the first one in line to buy one.
Where do I sign????

Seriously though, having looked at those interior shots posted above made me spooge in my pants. That is what I invision as a perfect interior. I am a gadget guy and the more electronics and doo dads a car has, IMO, the better.

It's amazing that I ever chose the S2000 considering some of my automobile preferences.

So is it just me or do others worry there may come a day when true manuals are no longer offered on sportscars?

At the rate in which I see cars coming into life with a tiny lever on top of the tranny for reverse and 2 paddles behind the steering wheel for everything else, I have to say, I'm getting nervous about this technology taking over.

I for one spend a decent amount of time on the track, and even with that figured in, I would not want a car equiped with this technology. I take great pride in my shifting technique and I enjoy the process of shifting as evidenced by the fact that I have not had an automatic car since my '71 Dodge Dart Demon...
Yup, the days of "row it yourself" trannies are coming to an end

Not enough takers here in the states and automakers are convinced the country is overrun with fat, lazy Americans. Manual gearboxes are too much work apparently Also, with 6 and 7 speed transmissions out there, Automatics are even getting better mileage than sticks do so manual gearboxes have very little justification these days.

Myself, I'm gonna buy every last model I can that comes with a manual gearbox, and then I'm going to buy preowned manual cars. But ya, the market for manual transmission equipped cars is a shrinking one sadly

Totally agree, the data that can be received from that center screen seems virtually unlimited...

I get depressed when I watch tech shows (like last night) on highways of the future.
they sing the praises of cars will navigate themselves on the highways and through intersections.

The GT-R looks like the front end of an Audi nailed onto the mid-section of a Mustang with the rear end of a G-35 coupe. Oh, and someone bolted some Mazda RX-8 fenders on the front and some Corvette fenders on the back. I could design a better looking car with a copy of Car and Driver and a pair of scissors.

Seriously, every part of that car looks like it came off another car.
