Default insurance rates

Hi guys I just moved to Massachusetts, Framingham specifically, and just wanted to know if I could get some good places to get auto insurance. I also would appreciate it if you could tell me what you are currently paying and your situation etc. I am 25, have had 1 ticket the last 3 years and 0 accidents last 3 years. Thanks ! and hope to see you guys soon.

Bass thanks for the reply, I feel kinda dumb i should have looked down a couple of posts. Do you mind telling me your age location and step ? I was planning on purchasing a s2000 late summer/fall and just wanted to get some advance info. I am coming from NJ, the insurance capital of the us. Also last thing, do you know how framingham compares on the insurance arena ? equal to boston ? significantly cheaper ? thanks for everything.

Hey, I moved from NJ over 3 years ago. Insurance here is much much cheaper and is regulated by the state, which means no shopping around, you'll get the same rate from all companies. Your insurance in MA will probably be 2/3 or even 1/2 of what you were paying in NJ, enjoy the saving.

When I moved here I went to this agent:

http://www.dfmurphy.com/

They were very nice people and took care of all the paperwork involved with transfering registrations/etc. I would highly recommend them, I normally deal with the Marlboro office.

Also, if you are planning on transfering your current car I hope you are aware of the MA law about out of state car purchases less than 6 month (or is that a year) old. They make you pay the tax again!! Just an FYI.
