We have done a lot of weeding, but this year, we put down some mulch. It helps kill them off. If you use chemicals to kill weeds, you'll kill the good stuff too.

No to roundup, unless you want to kill everything in there.
You know that expression you use on kids. "you're growing like a weed"? Well there's a reason for that saying. Those damn weeds grow while you are having lunch, you pull them out, and they're back after dinner.
It's something you have to stay on top of. If it's a large area buy some mulch, as I said, that will help keep them down.
Maybe NL's brother can drop off a yard or two of it
. It makes the garden area look more finished too. Any tomatoes yet? Did you get pepper plants too this year? Did they survive?
