Another favorite trick of mine is to park behind an empty parked car in plain view and put my rear flashing lights on so it looks like I have that car stopped.... Without fail, I always get someone who thinks "he's too busy already, now is my chance to speed by and piss a cop off" so they drive past me at about 20 over. I love the look on their face when I get these people.

But the V1 Comment.... Don't know if you have that thing set up properly or if it's an older one with out POP Protection. Most likely it was the POP that was used against you if he jumped from behind the tree.
