Oops, you non-V1 guys can't do that

Bah.

Hey... on this subject. How hard is it to aim those laser guns anyway? Looking at the S, if you're not running a front plate then that leaves the headlight and even then they're not very big. I was wondering if it makes much of a difference.

You can hit any part of the car (windshield, hood, bumper, bottom of tires) it doesn't matter. I really do not know who started the whole front plate myth. Only thing I have noticed is that darker colored cars take a fraction of a second longer to get a lock. Possibly long enough for you to slow a few MPH if you can react quick enough.

Those things are like toys. So easy to use. Put red dot on car, press button, speed/distance displayed. Makes a cool noise too.

Hmm, interesting. I didn't realize the parts like a windshield and wheels were targets. I wonder if flat black makes it even harder to lock? Otherwise, Berlina Black FTW!

After talking to Laser operators, the S2000 is NOT an easy car to get a lock on in OEM form, clearly a jammer makes it even easier.

They work fine at night, rain hurts a little but it would probably take a hurricane to render it useless.

there is a paint you can buy called Veil. It is like an opaque coating you put over your paint. Looks like crap but is supposed to be like the stealth paint they use on aircraft.

the gun I use makes a high pitched scratchy sound until it gets a lock, then it goes to a constant high pitched tone and displays the speed.
