I know Vic, I'm still looking. I feel like a girl shopping for a prom dress. (not that I'd know how that feels.)

I thought about the no manual issue, but if the paddle shifters work well, that might be ok. This would still be the car that gets me through the morning commute, and just dumping into drive would be ok if the paddle shift option actually feels like paddle shifting is supposed to.

How about an Acura TSX 6-speed with the A-Spec kit!

How about a Mercedes E55 AMG? It has paddle shift too. The E55 would suite you well, Bill!

No manual would be a disqualifier for me. Most manually shifted automatics I've driven feel about as good as shifting between 1, 2, 3, and "D" on any auto. There is still a torque converter in there, and it will still most likely lazily shift through the gears. This difference being, you get to pick which gear it lazily shifts to. But then again... being a Lexus, maybe they'll have this sorted out better than most cars.

If you up the price, like the E55, you should consider the Audi rs6....

Just a European Accord sold here as an Acura with an underpowered 4 cylinder. A-Spec is a bunch of glued on nonsense and some wheels and shocks. Who cares. Other than the S2000, I don't think Honda makes anything inspiring. Even the NSX is very dated now. The Acura TL was a nice experience, but I just can't get over the huge honker of a nose that hangs way over the front wheels.
