Personally, I didn't even realize they come in a size other than XL.
Well now that you know, maybe you can get some that stay on.

Steve, Is Vulcan tire the name of the distributor or the name of the tire? I don't see Vulcan tire in the article.

I had the same question. After searching the article, I went to the Vulcan Tire website. Mystery solved. There's no such thing as a Vulcan tire.

^I went back and studied the tread design. Those are the Falken 615s.

The section width on the 225 15s is 9 inches. (Insert your own condom joke here). How does that compare to the width of the stock SO2s? Anyone know?

Matt/Eric, how come the RE-O1Rs are not even in the article? What kind of second rate race tire are you trying to sell us???

Beats me, maybe they weren't out yet at the time that test was conducted; they just came out this summer I believe. I would love to see how they fare head to head. Here is one comparison tire rack did on this tire.

Reviving an old thread. I was wondering if anyone actually did buy Falkens for their S.

I was in the local tire store and saw the Falken FK452. According to the discounttiredirect web site, this tire is more of a cruiser than a sports car tire, but the tread looked pretty aggressive to me.

Any suggestions/recommendations? I'm looking for a comfortable tire for the S with a little more tread life than the S03s and hopefully a little cheaper.

Oh, and Trojan Ribbed are the condom of choice. I just thought that needed to be added to this old conversation.

And, by the way, I still have a set of "new" S03 255 17" rears that've been gathering dust in my garage for a couple of years if anyone wants to make me an offer.
