lude problems?
ok still a few poblems BUT it's running - i suspect the short is somewhere by the ecu - no speedo and check engine BUT it's charging and running
from the schmactic it looks the that black and yellow wire feeds something else (and i didn't feed the 12v to it when i ran the 12v right to the volt reg)
so i'll drill into it some more this weekend but at least it starting / charging and running

Steve didn't stop there folks. He studied his wiring diagram for days and made all sorts of electrical modifications to his car. Eventually, he became the formost prelude electrician in the nation and got his own web site called Steve's_Shorts.com. Cubs got a WD 40 franchise and became a millionaire. Jeff cracked a big electronics black market ring and was appointed the Chief of Police. Scott travelled the world warning people against the use of citris cleansers on aluminum and other bare metals and received the Congressional Medal of Honor. And me, I became one of the most beloved characters in car maintenance folk lore.

i bet you're right Jeff - i just need to find the eld and track the wire from there to the ecu - and if it's not shorted i can simply tap the new 12v wire and send it to the eld
game plan is to find that stuff saturday but at least i can get to work and go to the store to buy butts
