Default microsoft updates

ok so last night my desktop updated with some microsoft security patches.
today it seems like my machine is running like dog crap slow.

maybe this is how microsoft plans on getting people to migrate to vista.
keep installing patches that does god knows what useless sh!T.
each patch slows the machine by 2 or 3 percent.
but after a year or so...
My god, Vista is way faster than Xp!! I should upgrade.
.
.
..
to Linux

or maybe just the s2ki servers have way to many long threads.

The whole concept that something is good because it is popular is not only absurd, it is downright laughable...

I'd happily try MacOS if they didn't require you to buy overpriced hardware to run it. I've toyed with the idea of building a hackintosh... but I don't have nearly the time I used to for tech side projects.

Once you go Mac you wont go back

I think though that the overpriced proprietary hardware is one of the reasons why it runs so well. Apple is in control of the hardware and OS which leads to tighter integration. Ever since OS X it's been a pleasure to use. It's like having a *nix laptop where everything works for once. However, you must buy into the Apple-subculture* (literally) so... just do it... DRINK THE KOOL-AID.

* Joining the Apple sub-culture entitles you to:
+ Wear jeans and black turtle necks all-year-long
+ Appear even more pretentious while sipping your Americano in Starbucks
+ Discounts on the Toyota Prius
