Very true, I doubt I'd ever put Linux on my laptop...

But for desktop computing, Linux is really the way to go (unless you're a hardcore gamer or graphics editor).

Like you can get any mac user to switch to PC or vice versa.
I used a PC for 12 years, then when I needed a new laptop in 2004 I just could not make myself upgrade to XP or Vista so I decided to buy a Mac. Yes they do cost more but like other reliable products I have been happy paying the difference.

The newest Mac OS runs on intel hardware now as well so for those geekier than I am you could get the new OS to run on hardware you already have.

I do not call myself a creative person... I'm a programmer, I'm not much on design. I like the no rebooting, no freeze ups, no weird issues when things stop working that worked just fine 5 minutes ago. And I love having my ENTIRE life on the laptop, photos, videos, music, contacts, calendar, etc. Things just work.

I really believe that Apple has much more than 10% of the market share. I don't know if other people notice computers on TV but way more than 1/2 of them are Apples. At least 25% of the people I deal with as customers have Apples, this is over the last 7 years.

I was very pro PC when I used one, but I have an open mind, and I have been VERY happy to have made the switch 3+ years ago.

Mac made by crapple. Mac does make decent stuff ill give it that but
1: grossly overpriced!
2: extremely proprietary
3: almost impossible to upgrade

should I continue?

And lets not talk about Apples business practices, how about steve jobs with a possible terminal illness being hidden from all the stock holders due to fears of the company value plumetting? Sad that he is that valuable to Apple Thats doesnt bode well for the future without him eventually.

In my business yes apple does excel at graphics but they need to fix all the rest to get my $$$

On the other hand I do own an ipod touch thats a nice gadget But OVERPRICED!

Could they have gone out of their way to make it look anymore messy than that?

I have never had a desktop that messy in my life. Plus, I don't use a webcam, card reader thingy, all kinds of microphones and other crap they threw in.

Are they trying to insinuate that Apple has no peripherals? Because they show a Mac with just basic keyboard/mouse, and the dell with every doo-dad known to man. Total BS.

Buuuuudddyyyyyyyyy

MAC fan here , I used to be the build your own , over clocking , benchmarking PC guy but they all died .

My mac is the oldest computer I have had that I have not had to redo the OS to get everything back . Plus I run windows on it just fine without rebooting . OSX and XP run at the same time . I can drag and drop between them and run multiple programs between them at the same time
