This is an extremely old pic of my 2001 S2000 along side my sons 2002 WRX. I bought my car new in January 2002 and kept it for 11 years and racked up 125,000 miles. Traded in towards a 2002 Porsche 911 which I still own. My son now has a 2016 WRX. My S2000 it turns out was purchased on an E-Bay auction by an 80 year old gentleman from Fairbanks Alaska. He contacted me and it turns out this guy has a very interesting automotive history. He'd owned a Porsche 356 he bought new in the late 50's as well as an early Lotus and other very interesting cars. Returning to his home state of Conn. for his sisters birthday he got to drive his granddaughters S2000 and after 50 years removed was bitten by the sports car bug once again hence the purchase of my beloved "Buttercup" He won the auction and had my S2000 shipped to Alaska.

 

Wow, great story! Have you kept in touch with the buyer and does he still own the car?

 

It's been about 5 years now but last time I spoke with him he was still enjoying the hell out of it.

 

Cool story and makes us glad we decided to hold on to the S.

 

So, who is his granddaughter that owns an S in CT!!?
