Actually depreciation on a 1986-1989 944 Turbo/ Turbo S has pretty much bottomed out and will probably not drop any lower based on a reasonabley clean running vehicle. Additionally, this was the most widely mass produced Porsche in in the grand scheme of parts..these are the most readily available, though cost is still a factor.
My personal favorites would be the aformentioned Turbo models, which rival the S2000 in many aspects including handling and also the 1989-91 944S2
Speaking of other great cheap cars.....How about a last gen MR2 Turbo....nice.
