Moving sale
Hello all, a lot has been happening recently.
We are planning to move to the city and can't bring two dogs with us, so we must find Benson a good home soon.
Here are some typical questions people may asked about Benson (our responses in brackets).
Why are you taking the golden but not the collie? (We are moving to a loft in Boston. Being a Collie, he barks every now and then. My wife is a realtor; we don’t want to upset our new neighbors. Our Goldie barks once or twice every few months (very rarely). Plus, he is younger, we figure out he has a better chance to find a good home.)
What are his behavioral problems if any? (He is very loyal. he doesn’t follow strangers (not like our Goldie). It takes time for him to trust people.)
What are his medical problems if any? (Typical of his breed, he is very healthy. No medical condition. Just give him food and water. He is good to go. Very low maintenance.)
Is he house trained? (Yes, more than a year ago. He is crate trained also.)
How would you describe his disposition? (Very calm and independent. He likes to do his own thing. A little bit on a shy side. It takes time for him to let you into his world. Once you are in, you are in for life. You can hold him, hug him, and tickle him. Pretty much anything.)
Exactly how old is he? (2 yrs and a month.)
Has Benson been around kids? (We don’t have kids, so there is no chance for him to play with kids, which is a shame, since every time we bring him to the Vet, everyone praises him for well behaving. Benson is still young enough, I am sure he can adjust to a household with kids.)
Is Benson a good guard dog? (Let me put it this way, Tina will try to lick an intruder to death but Benson will bark at the intruder. Either way, the intruder will get in and get out of the house without a problem. As far as I know, Benson is all talk, and they both are hopeless as guard dogs.)
Steve will post some pictures soon.
