Between the NFL's Spygate scandal, MLB's Steroids scandal and now this NBA game fixing scandal, what's real anymore in professional sports? Throws a whole new light to the Pau Gasol/Garnett trade and this entire series IMO.

 

My father in law, who had a touch of cynicism in him (but he was a sweet heart) used to swear that these NBA play offs were all fixed.


He lived to be 88 years old and NEVER changed his mind on that topic.

I think once they get out of high school sports is, at best, 50% of the event.

 

Well, in the past, the "entertainment" value of watching the games was still there because despite all the rumors of game fixing, you never knew if it was just bad refereeing. Now we have a former ref saying that fixing games in fact went on, so this changes things. It's not entertaining if it's fake, otherwise, I'd take a liking to WWF.
