Need help already.
Well guys im new here and already need some help. Well recently bought this s2000 in which puff has nicely displayed some photos welcoming me. Well the car drove great form Detroit to Connecticut not a single problem. Well yesterday I change the Oil put in 10w30 Amsoil and put the Invidia Catback exhaust on. Took it for a drive it was sputtering like crazy and then Just died and wouldnt start, after a few hours on the side of the road I went back to it and it finally started but if I brought the rpms up past 3000 it would sputter terribly and want to stall, well I got it 2 miles back to my house. also my vortec supercharger seems quite loud as well. maybe a pully (I guess if the price is to good to be true it must be) It has an AEM computer I Wouldnt think It would run thatBad by changing the exhaust. Any Ideas fellas

Give the map sensor a few taps with the handle of a screwdriver. It may be messing up on you. Also like kenta asked any CEL codes?
Sounds just like the problem Kingz had a month ago. Ended up being a wire broken out of the map. Give it the map tap...

Jeff has an invidia but he is on his way home now. He could tell you when he checks in and the map sensor is mounted in the front of the intake manifold or near the end of the air intake hose. It is about 3/4 inch square and says map sensor right on it. Give it a few good taps with the back of a screwdriver.
Also check the harness that plugs into it for a loose wire.
Since you have a supercharge and an AEM for diagnostic work and repair you really need to go to Scott at ballistic mortorsports he is in bow NH just outside of manchester. He is the CO here and the best shop around for S mechanical work.
Good Luck.

also you can take the map sensor off make sure its clean and the terminals on the connector are clean reset the plug reinstall and see if it helps.

Thanks I found the map sensor, it actually was moved back against the firewall. It didnt help much. I appreciate the suggestion on where to take my car, but enhanced street performance has always done me good. I had a 3000gt vr4 with 440 whp that they help build and tune, it was running high 11's never once did I have a problem. I will defenitly keep that shop in mind if a problem arises that they cant figure out.
