Default No dial tone but DSL is working

I've got no dial phone, land line is dead, but internet (DSL) is fine.

I've jumped through the Verizon hoops, disconnected ALL phones and Internet jack, but still no go. I had to call them a whole bunch of times as my cell phone service in the house is iffy, and the call kept dropping. I gave them my cell number, however they advise me they can't call back...they are a call center and don't call out.

They tell me there is a signal to the house, (I guess that's true since internet is working), but no phones. Rick will check the interface box in the house later on...

I did book a tech visit for Wednesday, and of course, I got the, "It could be your equipment and if we find the problem is in your equipment, you will be charged for the visit"..... I really don't think all my phones died last night.....the wind was blowing, maybe just maybe there is another issue outside?

Maybe I should get my phone service from those nice people at ComCast?

Yep, all dead...Haven't messed with any filters.

I even have one old fashioned phone, if any were going to work, that one would. At one point, that was the only one I left plugged in. This will be Rick's job later on. At least I won't get any more political recordings tonight. Martha and that other guy are getting annoying.

Given last night's weather I would agree. We didn't have any rainstorms or wind gusts in the basement where that other box is.

At least I have internet. I can be in touch with only those that I choose.

Back in business. I TOLD them our phones were fine. A little while ago the phone just rang.....must have been something in the lines. No one there, just static.

DSL was acting weird for a bit, and for the first time EVA, I got the evil BLUE screen and a fatal error from my computer.....WTF was that about?

All seems well now.
