Pressing the reset button
I've only ever done one mod and that was putting in the bilstien shocks and springs.
If my stock shocks hadn't gone in the crapper I wouldn't have done that.
I've been running them on the stiffest settings but with the cooler weather I have to drop it back a might and soften it up.

Scott,
Really sorry I missed that wing! I think that you might want to keep those wheels. I started out about 4-5 years ago tracking mine. I have since really only kept it registered to get to the gas pumps when I am at the tracks! I went from totally stock to non staggered AP1 wheels and a big front bar. It was a real help at the track. Next I went for the roll bar to get me on more tracks and with more groups. After that seats/harnesses for incredible feel in the car. This past season I picked up some used 949 17x9/63's that were a noticeable improvement in grip from the square AP1's. I finally have bit the bullet for some KW's for next season. I guess my point here is the track is like crack! You might find you keep getting better and want to go faster. You already have some of the more popular wheels so hang on to them. You will probably want them back. I have really enjoyed my slow progression through these mods and applaud you for going back to see how well it works as is but I think you will miss the grip of those wheels. (you will need some track pads for sure, the stockies don't hold up)
Good luck and I hope to see you out there next season!

track days are awesome. I ran with scda this year and had a blast (no roll bar). Easy solution is for you to buy a second s2000 (ap1) with high miles and track/autocross the heck out of it and the second one, mod for looks and performance.
I've been toying with the idea of buying a stock ap1 for the last year. Don't get me wrong I love my current s2k but with all the work I've been doing it's been apart more than together so I really can't enjoy it as much as I would like. It would be great to have a second s2k in stock form so I could drive and appreciate the car for what it was made to be.
